No Jobs,No Interviews

Jobs here in United States.I went to a Staffing Agency or a Temp. Place last MArch. Luckily I got a job after 3 days but sad to say after 3 days the job was gone.Why? Because the women that Im replacing too come back. That's sad.It broke my heart because I thought this is it!.By April I got an interview in the oil company.I like it but I dont like it.First it's too far where I live .It took 1 hr less traffic.Anyway, I dont have a call back if I got the job.Then by end of MAy the templace call that I got a job. When I work for 3 days at the company this told that they dont need me anymore.They will just call me if they need help.Where are the jobs right now? Applying on line? It sucks! I think they never check it or read. A friend of mine submit a thousand of application online but even a one call she aint receive a call.Are online application are real? Because I do myself did it too. There are some place if you call them,they will just tell you that they dont entertain follow-up on the phone.They will just call you if you are hired. When? Do they look on those application submitted online?Is it right? Everybody needs a job.Economy been bad.People are starving,dont have a place to live.Give this people a chance to work. We need to help everybody.People post jobs online but no response.Can do they reply these people even a single note "IM SORRY WE DONT HIRE ANYMORE" so we the people know that you got our application.

Family Reunion

I been here in the US for 5 yrs.And my husband mother's side they always have a great,wonderful family reunion every year. Family Reunion is very common for us but their reunion is a 3 days reunion.I'm blessed that Im part of it.Why? because they welcome me as who am I and show that I been part of the family for a long long time.That's what I like and we dont missed the reunion no matter how broke we are. Some them drive for a long mile like from california to alabama just to be with the reunion.

The first night is the dinner w/ all the family.It always starts on thursday night to Sunday morning.Friday is the day that we would be at the Girl Scout Camp to stay night until sunday some dont.BUt we always stay and sleep at the camp because it's fun and more time to talk and share with family that you will only met once a year. It's a nice place,quite and you can see more deer in the camp.Friday night is the game night till morning.It's fun.Then Saturday morning is the swimming in the pool,lunch with the family.And after lunch is the most exciting part the Silent and Live Auction. This is how we use funds for the rent and the food.After the auction is the canoing,swimming again while some just stay at the camp talking with the families while listening the family band. They are very talented.Saturday night is the game night again some are leaving and back to their own home while we stay until Sunday morning.Sunday morning is the "Oh what a beautiful morning" wake up call for those people who are still sleeping ha ha ha ha ha.After breakfast,there is a short sunday service lead by a Pastor through a family member then after that is the cleaning and check out the camp. It's another year again.It was worth it driving from Alabama going home.

So, family reunion is very important. I wish that my family in the Philippines will always do this every year. Like my family here in the states.

It's cold this morning,the weather temperature keep dropping.We are still thankful here in our place because we dont have snow which is probably worst.So I wake up late and I was dreaming with my dear sister and at the same time my daughter. Siquijor State College is the only state college in the island province of Siquijor in the Central Visayas Region, Philippines. Siquijor Island is geographically located 30 kilometers East of Negros Island and 565 kilometers from Manila.

Siquijor State College, was founded by Lt. Governor Vicente Villanueva. It was then called as the Larena High School (LHS) that offered only the first and the second year levels, one section per curriculum year level with only two teachers including the principal which was under the supervision of the Negros Oriental Provincial High School (NOPHS) in Dumaguete City.
On March 3, 1995, LNVC was converted into the Siquijor State College (SSC) through the joint efforts of 'Hon. Orlando B. Fua Sr', Representative of the Lone District of Siquijor. When Dr. Tan retired December 31, 1999, Dr. Rosita T. Bidad, the Vice-President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) of the College was appointed by the Board of Trustees as Officer-in-Charge (OIC) until Dr. Dominador Q. Cabanganan was appointed as the second College President on August 15, 2000. He was re-appointed as College President effective August 14, 2004.
When Dr. Cabanganan retired from the service on August 14, 2008, he was bestowed by the Board of Trustees as Professor Emeritus. On August 21, 2008, a new College President was elected by the Board of Trustees in the person of Dr. Baldomero R. Martinez, Jr.
In summer 2003, a cooperative program among Siquijor State College, the Philippine Physics Society, the Silliman University Center of Development in Physics and Ateneo de Davao University Physics Department was initiated. About 20 Physics teachers participated in the program. In June 2005, a special graduation ceremony held at Siquijor State College granted the degree Master of Arts in Science Teaching (Physics) to ten of the participants and the degree Master in Teaching (Physics) to three of the participants.
A new campus is named as Siquijor State College-Lazi Campus was added in 2006.

What I miss? I missed my family in the Philippines specially it's Christmas.Although,Im happily married with Marlen.....I could not ask for more but being far away from your family is different.Christmas is the most holiday that I missed.Specially before christmas.Like everybody is excited because everybody is coming home to celebrate the christmas and new year.Each of us busy thinking what to cook for christmas eve and of course busy wrapping gifts for everybody.We dont ask what we want,we are just thankful what people gave us and that's a big THANK YOU.No matter how small or big it is the important is LOVE and SHARING is in the spirit of christmas.I remember the days when MAma Ge always ask us what to cook for christmas dinner and if our gifts are ready for that night.It's already a tradition that I also brought here in the US....Even a one piece of candy is already a gift for us and we are happy for that.MERRY CHRISTMAS to all...

Teen Found Dead in IN closet

HOUSTON -- An 18-year-old woman whose bloody body was found in a closet of her family's suburban Houston home died of a stab wound to the neck.

That's the finding of the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office in the death Thursday of Trang Van. Spokesman Dan Morgan said Monday that the woman's death has been ruled a homicide.

A statement last week from the Harris County Sheriff's Department said Van's father returned home from work late Thursday to find his daughter's body in the closet of their northwest Harris County home.

Van's friends said she recently graduated from high school.

Also I seen this in the newspaper today.This are the few species that might be considered homely or obscure and are removed from the endangered species list.I have been in to many museum but I never seen this.....

Hoover's Woolly-Star

This one they called HOOVER'S WOOLLY-STAR. No longer endangered or threatened. This california herb is a rare ugly.It was listed as threatened but was removed from the list after the biologist found more plants than were previously known and after land was set aside to protect it.Attwater's Prairie Chicken

This is the Attwater's Prairie Chicken. This bird which can look like a grouse with a goiter has seen most of its habitat along the Texas and Lousiana coast dissapear as farms and suburbs moved in. Now there are just a few dozen left and the population survives only because of human help.The bird is bred in captivity.Scientist say they fear that many species such as this will never be fully recovered.They will always need people to survive.

Independence Day better known in modern times as the 4th of July is a grand and great holiday in the United States of America and is often a favorite of young people who especially enjoy the exciting colorful and noisy traditional fireworks. The fireworks, however, are but a symbol of the meaning behind the 4th of July celebration of independence. The meaning behind the 4th of July Independence Day holiday came about as the result of the valiant efforts and strong commitment of our American forefathers not so very long ago.

Amazing changes and events have happened since July 4, 1776, however, very important changes and dramatic events also occurred prior to July 4, 1776. Brave and restless people had uprooted their lives, left everything behind, and crossed the Atlantic Ocean to come to this land where they sought freedoms and rights not available to them in their homeland. They formed settlements here and organized into various groups of towns and colonies with their own local laws and rules, while still under the authority of the King of England. The country was being born and the ideals of just how and what those freedoms would entail were ironed out through controversy and cooperative efforts of the differing opinions of the day.

The vote for the United States to become independent of Great Britain actually occurred on July 2, 1776 by the Continental Congress in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Congress formally approved the document, the "Declaration of Independence" on July 4, 1776. This declaration was the final break with Great Britain and expressed the united view of all of the colonies to become independent. This act was a culmination of dramatic events in which the early Americans faced a great deal of unrest that was accompanied by heartfelt and explosive rebellious incidents in their efforts to be free from tyranny. They were not deterred as they sought to identify, solidify, and maintain the profound and precious freedoms and justices they had so yearned for that they were willing to commit their entire lives to the values that they embraced.

This was, however, just a beginning point of establishing freedom in this great land, as at that time in our history, the Revolutionary War to complete the severing of our dependence from Great Britain was yet to take place, plus the horrific practice of slavery still existed, women were not privileged to enjoy most of these independent rights, and, sadly, Native Americans were being displaced and uprooted as they lost their native homelands to the onward movement of the American settlers. Since the momentous Declaration of Independence was signed and approved, our struggles to truly bring equality and equal rights to everyone has triumphed with many victories, while movements and progress continue to this day.

Even though it seems like such a long time ago, if you put it into the perspective that using a moderate lifetime of only 60 years, those 232 years since 1776 are less than 4 lifespans away from our present 2008. As we approach another 4th of July holiday celebration it comes to mind that our American peoples from all heritages and ethnic backgrounds can truly celebrate the enormous progress that has been made over the span of these minute and short 4 lifespans of time. Our values and ideals are far too precious to become lost through the fears and struggles we are experiencing today.

American forefathers successfully worked through strife, fears, and the bullies of their time to prevail in establishing this great country. We, as recipients and inheritors of their magnificent efforts, must hold our heads up high as we express our thanks and jubilation on the 4th of July Independence Day holiday celebrations that we live in such a great country, and we should be encouraged to work together, hand in hand, to resolve our problems and differences in order to maintain the integrity and values that the great and famous document, the Declaration of Independence was founded upon.

A significant point of evidence to remind us that all these differences can be overcome is the cooperative and friendly relationship and camaraderie that the United States and Great Britain have been enjoying for many many years. Those differences were very important to early Americans and Great Britain in 1776 that many risked and lost their lives over those matters at that time in history. Today it seems strangely remote and unusual that the United States and Great Britain would be enveloped in such a great controversy, and yet it happened. There is an important lesson here that we, too, can resolve all of our differences, and as we enjoy celebrating the 4th of July Independence Day holiday with the magnificent fireworks, tasty barbecues, traditional hot dogs, fun parades and other symbolic events that mark the freedom and birth of our great country, we share a common goal and belief that all people are created equal and that this country is founded on the belief of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all.

I have gotten many calls from this number 201-918-3018 since yesterday and today. I think for 15 times.At first I ignore it, today I answer it because I thought it's my Lola in California but nobody answer.All I hear is a noise in the street.Then this number leave a voice mail when I check it's just a noise. When I come home this afternoon I check online where this number come from it's from New Jersey.I also found out that it's not only me who experience this annoying number.Whoever you are would you please stop.IF you are a scammer or a call center or whatever stop calling. This is a nuisance call and I hope it will stop.

Vacation in the Philippines

After three weeks vacation in the Philippines Im back. I miss my family.I wish I could stay longer.We have a good and bad vacation. We have a big purpose why we come home last May.We are attending an ADOPTION COURT HEARING for my daughter last May 28, 2009. The bad one is during the hearing day the Judge ask our lawyer if how many times did he publish the adoption.He said he did not for the reason that the publishing company was closed and when he transfer to another publishing they will ot accept. I was pist off at that moment.W e spend thousand of dollars for this hearing and that's what we heard.What makes me mad is on that day that we arrived from US we visit our lawyer many times ask some possible question might the Judge ask on us but he never mention any! any about the publishing.What and idiot lawyer? Maybe this people thinks that "nakahiga kami sa pera dito sa US".MY husband was so dissapointed,mad etc. So the Judge told him that your reason is not void.I will RESET the case.God! we are here to get our daughter soon.For this simple publishing we could not bring her back. The explain but it's too late.We paid him everything,even for the adoption publishing.He dont care,he never call us or nothing.Or even say sorry.IN short "GIKWARTAHAN RA MI".LAMI KAAYO TUK-ON OI. Some says there is a reason why it happened. I hope so.Hubby was shock mad for an hour.He could not believe what the lawyer done to us."NAA UNTA CoNSCIENCE AMO LAWYER PERO LA JUD.

The good one is hubby and my daughter had a good bonding at this time.We stay in the resort for 3 wks.We visit our folks and have a an island tour. Im hoping that one day my daughter will be with us soon.

SOmetimes I dont know what to share in my blog.Im thinking that my story is the big thing that I could share for everybody.

I was in 2nd year high school when I was pregnant. Everybody mad on me because they have high expectation to me specially my dad and my grandmother and everybody. THey said a daughter is a daughter and a parent is a parent.My dad send me to my relatives in Manila until I gave birth.I was young at that time and I dont know what to do?THey are planning to let somebody adopt my little girl until they decide to keep it.So, on my big day my cousin decided to put my MOm and dad as the parents of daughter.TO avoid illigetimate.SO to make the story my daughter is my sister.I was like a puppet at that time that whatever they say I DO!.....what is in my mind at that time is I dont want them to be dissapointed again.I love my daughter.It's stress relieve.After 4 months since I gave birth my daughter my parents and grandparents want me to come home.SO we did and everybody accept me specially my daughter....oh my sister....and they love it....When school starts I finished my college and finally I graduated Bachelors degree.ONe month after I graduated I found a job in MAnila as an Admin Officer.I dont know what to do at that time.I miss my daughter-sister but I need to work for her.I dont want to be dependent with my grandparents and parents forever.THen suddenly,sadness comes while IM working my sister passed away, following the year my Lolo then after a year my Dad.I was broken-hearted.My friends and families are always there for me. At that time, I found a man which is my husband now who my foster sister introduce it to me.I have to many suitors in the office but I ignore them and honestly I dont feel love on them.I dont know why?THen I met my hubby.I told him about my daughter is my sister.ANd it dont bother on him beside he like kids.After four years I was with my hubby in US.We got married and plan to get my daughter over here.It's not that easy.There is a conflict.YOU know why because in reality she is my daughter but in the birth certificate she is my sister and my MOm's daughter......

Peanut BUtter Fudge

I got bored today,I know two days more to go we are leaving....Im surfing at the net until I reach on a recipe called "PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE". I keep saying before that I will cooke peanut butter fudge one day but it never happen.SO, I will try it today and herewith I will share the recipe for those who love to cook.Simple to make.

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 cups white sugar
4 tablespoons butter
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups miniature marshmallows

DIRECTIONS
1.) Butter one 9x9 inch pan and set aside.
2.) In a 3 quart saucepan, combine white sugar, brown sugar, milk, and butter. Cook to soft ball stage, 234 degrees F (112 degrees C). Remove from heat.
3.) Stir in peanut butter, vanilla and marshmallows; continue stirring until marshmallows are melted. Pour into prepared pan and cool. Cut into squares and serve.

Heres another one they called it "GRANDPA"S PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE"

INGREDIENTS
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups white sugar
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
1 tablespoon margarine
1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract

Mix brown and white sugar with the milk in large pot; bring mixture to a boil. Stir in peanut butter, reduce heat to medium and bring the mixture back to boil (stirring constantly). Remove the pot from heat when a drop of the mixture forms a ball in a glass of cold water.
Stir margarine and vanilla into the mixture; stir vigorously until the fudge hardens. ( Always stir in same direction.) Pour fudge onto buttered plates or waxed paper. Let cool and cut into 1 inch pieces

HUbby want's a new pair of short. He is not to picky like me so I went to Burke's Outlet.IT's just half mile where we live. I pick 2 shorts and it cost $22 each. I pay in the cashier.The cashier said it's 139.....I was schock!I said to her what?.she reply "Yeah it's $1.39.".........I told her is it really, Im not a senior citizen??????...Burkes Outlet have this so called MOnday CLub for 50 yrs old and above 10% off and Friday for 40 yrs old below.Anway,she said the shorts is on sale.When she hand me the receipt's It's says 95% off.....they almost given it away...ha ha ha ha ........Do you know how much I pay for a pair of shorts It's .65cents each pair of the shorts.Could you believe that? I never bought a pair of short that cheap.... The shorts that I bought for hubby is not ugly.It's St.PAtrick Brand that you can buy in Jeccy Penney for $35.I tell you what GOD IS GOOD.He knows that we have a trip coming to the Philippines.

1.)Kimberley Big Hole, South Africa

Apparently the largest ever hand dug excavation in the world,this 1097 meter deep mine yielded over 3 tons of diamond s before being closed in 1941.

2.)Glory Hole, Monticello Dam, California

A glory hole is used when a damn is at full capacity and water needs to be drained from the reservoir. This is the 'Glory Hole' at Monticello dam, and it's the largest in the world of this type of spillway, its size enabling it to consume 14,400 cubic feet of water every second.

3.)Bingham Canyon Mine, Utah

This is supposedly the largest man-made excavation on earth. Extraction began in 1863 and still continues today, the pit increasing in size constantly. In its current state the hole is miles deep and 2.5 miles wide.

4.) GReat Blue Hole,Belize

This incredible geographical phenomenon known as a blue hole is situated 60 miles off the mainland of Belize . There are numerous blue holes around the world, but none as stunning as this one.

My Philippine passport expired last Sept 2008.HOnestly, IM not worry at that time because we dont have plans to visit the Philippines. One day, we talk to our lawyer how to get quick my daughter/my sister.Maybe you are wondering why I say my daughter/my sister.And it's true.I will explain in my blog oneday.So, the lawyer told us the quickest is to hire a lawyer in the Philippines and adopt there.So, to make the story short we need to travel in the Philippines by MAy 2009.My problem is my passport expired last Sept 2008 So, by Sept I keep calling the Los ANgeles when is there next consulate outreach here in houston,Texas.They said after six months.Im worried,I check their website everyday and at the same time I email them..... that there are to many Filipino here in houston that needs to renew there passport.They reply my letter an said as of know they dont have a budget.If you are saying I AM DESPERATE!....Yes I am...... I never lost hope,but I did ha ha ....I keep praying and checking their website hoping one day they will come over here.Jan 2009 comes no consular outreach.....First wk of February....then finally half of February 2009 they post in their webiste regarding a CONSULAR OUTREACH in Houston. So, I did not waste my time I fax the requirements on that day and on that same day I got a schedule.It's April 12, @ 10am.

The filling is not hassle......but on that day it's a mess and a little bit organize.You know why? because there are to many Filipinos in that small food court in Houston.MAybe more than a thousand.It was fun to see all your kababayan....And take note the CONsular Outreach was at the FILIPINO FOOD COURT.

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 Beers. A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.' The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty=2 0space between the sand. The students laughed.. 'Now,' said the professor as the laughter subsided, 'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things---your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions---and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car. The sand is everything else---the small stuff. 'If you put the sand into the jar first,' he continued, 'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a great length of time, someone asked, "Well, how much does a brain cost?" I THOUGHT OF SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN YEARS AGO. I HAD A DOG WHEN I WAS YOUNG. HIS NAME WAS RUSTY. JUST A MUT. SOONER BE ANY BREED, ONLY PAPERS WAS THE ONES HE THROWN UP IN THE YARD. RUSTY WAS QUIET A DOG. FOLLOWED ME AND MY SIBLINS EVERY WHERE. WELL ONE DAY RUSTY CAME HOME WITH AN WHITE RABBIT IN HIS MOUTH. I KNEW RIGHT THEN IT WAS THE NEIGHBOR KIDS PET RABBIT. I ALSO KNEW RUSTY DAYS WAS NUMBER IF THEY FOUND OUT HE KILLED THEIR PET. SO I TOOK THE RABBIT OUT OF RUSTY MOUTH AN WENT TO THE BATHROOM, WASHED IT AND BLOW DRY ITS FUR WITH MOMS HAIR BLOWER. THEN I QUIETLY WENT AN PUT IT BACK IN THE NEIGHBORS CAGE. WOW I HAD SAVED RUSTYS LIFE. THEN THAT EVENING THE NEIGHBORS DAD CAME OVER TALKING TO MY DAD. HE TOLD MY DAD THAT THERE WAS A SICK, EVIL PERSON IN OUR NEIGHBOR HOOD. HE TOLD DAD THAT THEIR RABBIT HAD DIED THREE DAYS EARLIER. AND THEY BURRIED IT. SOME SICK PERSON DUG IT UP AND CLEANED IT AND PUT IT BACK IN THE CAGE. AND THE KIDS CRIED AGAIN FOR THEIR DEAD RABBIT. HUH YOU EVER TRY TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT, OR FIX SOMETHING BROKEN JUST FOR IT TO FLY UP AND BIT YOU IN THE REAR. I NEVER ADMITTED THAT I WAS THAT SICK PERSON, TRYING TO SAVE MY DOG FROM I THOUGHT KILLING AN PET RABBIT.

Woman's record-length fingernails broken in crash

A Utah woman listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for her long fingernails has lost them in a car crash.Lee Redmond of Salt Lake City sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the accident.

Redmond's nails, which hadn't been cut since 1979, were broken in the crash. According to the Guinness Web site, her nails measured a total of more than 28 feet long in 2008, with the longest nail on her right thumb at 2 feet, 11 inches.

11-year-old girl loses both legs while playing on train tracks

An 11-year-old Houston-area girl lost one leg and seriously injured the other when she was run over by a train. Doctors said they were unable to save either leg and both had to be amputed.

Giselle Marroquin was playing with some friends on tracks behind their homes in a neighborhood east of Houston late Friday afternoon when a Union Pacific freight train ran over her legs.

Lt. John Legg with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said a group of five children would stand on the tracks, wait for trains to pass, then grab the side of the train and drag their feet behind them. Legg said the girl slipped and was caught under the train.

"The first thing that goes through your mind is - oh my God," said Vasquez.

Vasquez and several others worked quickly to stop the bleeding. Giselle's left leg was severed, and her other leg was badly mangled. She was taken by helicopter to the Texas Medical Center.
Alex Rodriguez, a spokeswoman for Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, said Saturday the girl was in critical condition.

Neighbors said that the children were able to get into the railway area through a home without a backyard fence. But they also said that even if the home was fenced in, that may not have prevented this accident.

"Most kids think they are invincible. They don't really realize the dangers that are out there," said Vasquez.

The railroad is conducting an investigation. The speed limit on the track in the area where the accident occurred is 10 mph. Officials said the girl and some of her friends had successfully ridden a train earlier, but on their second attempt, she slipped.

We should have charity for alcoholics.We dont know why they turned to drink. There may be some reason why they try to drown their troubles. MOre than we Christians think.There are so many kind ofdrinkers.Some are just once in a while.Some are born in drinking homes,then for others it's the style.But alcohol is very bad indeed, no matter how it used.For it's the devil's worshop and in the end they're bound to lose.Still alcohol is here to stay.There isnt much that we can do.And ask the GOd to see them through.

There are a lot of things that Christians shouldnt do.Especially to excess.Like eating and pleasures and even in their dress.I dont think a Christian should ever touch a drop.For if we ever start to drink,we just want more and more.Remember what Solomon said,in Proverbs 23.Look not upon the wine when it is red,it will be a curse to thee. Permanent Green Card

I been in here in US as a fiancee VISA...so I enter as a non-immigrant last 2006.IM holding a conditional permanent residency for two years and was expired last Sept 2008. SO, I file last May 31, to remove my conditional residency .That's 90 days before my green card expired.By JUne the USCIS received my papers also I received my NOA on that month with the extension for one year.By July I scheduled for fingerprinting.I submit my papers at Vermont Service Center.

I check everyday about the status on my papers but until now it's still CASE RECEIVED AND PENDING.IT's been six month's since they received my documents.It says online it's take 10-12 months before got approved because of the back log.

My question is,Is it really this long before we received the GC or approved our 10 yrs green card?

Can you travel outside the country?

Is there any problem to the PORT OF ENTRY showing your extension paper?

IM posting this because IM hoping that somebody could share their experience.And I will keep posting my updates about my green card so I can share also.

I do really appreciate to all of you who shared....That Im not the only one who is waiting for our Permanent GReen CArd.

Today was Ana's birthday.And we are proud that we are invited.It's a simple birthday party but full of love.She turn's 21st today.They are a Polynesian TOnngan.Hope I spell it right.They have a very nice tradition.But before the eating ha ha ha..her Dad had a little speach about Ana.He tell us that he is proud that he had 2 good girls.When his two girls are in high school they ask there dad "IN what age they can use make up" at age 18 "What age they could have a boyfriend" at age 21. Her Dad proud of it.He dont need to push ANa and her sister to help the church or come the church every Sunday.Nor say ay bad words to him,if there is it's not worse like we usually heard form the young ones now.Ana's dad was proud of her daughter.THen follow the Tonggan's song,then the preacher's message and of course the birthday song and blowing the candles.THen of course the delicious food.Thanks for the Tupou family for inviting us.And for the good meal and the take home meal.For ANa....Bestfriend! The secret Santa was a protege of Kansas City's undercover gift giver, Larry Stewart, who died of cancer nearly two years ago. Stewart roamed city streets each December doling out $100 bills to anyone who looked like they might need a lift.
Before his death in January 2007, Stewart told a friend how much he would miss his 26 years of anonymous streetside giving, during which he gave away about $1.3 million. Stewart, from the city suburb of Lee's Summit, made millions in cable television and long-distance telephone service.
The friend promised Stewart he would be a secret Santa the next year. "He squeezed my hand and that was it," said the Kansas City Santa, who would say only that he was an area businessman and investor. "I honored a promise."

Orchids, together with roses, are acclaimed worldwide as the most beautiful of all flowers , though I’ve always been partial to succulent blooms myself . For me, the most beautiful, intriguing, maybe even the weirdest flowers in this sphere are the flowers produced by a succulent group called the Stapeliads.

While they are beautiful, many of the Stapeliads’ flowers have a really foul stench like the smell of fresh pooh-pooh or some other rotten organic matter. This is again another wonderful element of Mother Nature. The carrion smell attracts another favorite insect-pollinator the langaws and bangaws of the world. Flies absolutely love many Stapeliad flowers! I always find it a treat when I have one of my Stapeliads flowering (my favorite is Pseudolithos) when I have visitors to my greenhouse. I let my guests take a good whiff of a Pseudolithos flower and, needless to say, they are all stunned by what their noses encounter, thinking that I’ve just played a dirty trick on them.

Air circulation is very important, especially in a humid environment like ours. This will drastically decrease the chances of fungal infection. With the exception again of the more sensitive Stapeliads mentioned earlier, most are fairly tolerant of a wide range of soil types. The key is for the growing medium to be porous. For the more sensitive species, I recommend using only a purely mineral-based mix with a good sandy garden loam as the base. If you follow these general guidelines, you will find your Stapeliads rewarding you throughout the year with the most beautiful blooms in the succulent world.

Manuel Uribe Garza, who was officially the world's fattest person last year but is now bidding for the title of the world's greatest slimmer, has announced that he is going to get married. The 43-year-old, from Monterrey in northern Mexico, was recognised by Guinness World Records in 2007 after he became so large that he was only able to leave his home by being towed in his specially reinforced bed. With the help of his fiancee, Claudia Solis, Mr Uribe has been on a high protein diet for two years, and has managed to lose more than half his body weight. He announced earlier this year that he had slimmed down to around 41 stone (259 kg) from his peak weight in 2006, when he tipped the scales at 94 stone (597 kg).
Last year he left his home for the first time in five years, and in August this year he managed to visit a local lake and beauty spot - with the aid of a forklift and a flatbed truck that transported him in his bed. A previous planned outing in March had to be called off when the truck carrying his bed got stuck in an overpass.

"We are in love, and this year my birthday wish is to be able to stand when we get married," Mr Uribe was quoted as saying of Mrs Solis. "We are a couple. We have sex, and in the eyes of God we are already married." He confirmed yesterday that he would wed Mrs Solis, 38, a hairdresser whom he met four years ago, in a civil ceremony at his home later this month.
Local mayors and media organisations have offered to help pay for the wedding, which will include a cake for 400 guests, but Mr Uribe insisted that he would be sticking to his weight loss regime on the big day. “It will be a hefty wedding, on a large scale, but with a low-calorie banquet,” he told news agencies. He added that he would have "a bite" of wedding cake for the photos, but no more because his diet forbids it. A band named Pesado - heavy - has been lined up to provide the music. A former car spares dealer, Mr Uribe has been bedridden since 2001. He drew worldwide attention when he pleaded for help on national television in January 2006. Afterwards, Italian and Spanish doctors visited and offered him gastric bypass surgery.
But Mr Uribe chose to accept help from Mexican nutritionists working with the Zone diet. He said he will stick to that diet until he reaches his goal weight of 120kg (18st).
He featured in a television programme called World's Heaviest Man, detailing his battles to lose weight and his housebound life. He met Mrs Solis, 38, a widow, in 2004. She has said that she bathes him every day, and "we get along very well". He has said that he plans to launch the Manuel Uribe Foundation to educate Mexican people about nutrition, to combat obesity problems. He has asked Guinness World Records to certify in July 2008, his second title: "The world's greatest loser of weight".

The annoyance of resetting clocks (or forgetting to, and showing up an hour early for appointments on Sunday) may raise the question of why we bother with this rigmarole in the first place.
Daylight saving time is most often associated with the oh-so-sweet extra hour of sleep in fall (and the not-so-nice loss of an hour in spring), but some of the original reasons for resetting our clocks twice a year including saving energy and having more daylight hours for retailers, sporting events and other activities that benefit from a longer day.

That's "BOW"......he is one of the horses at the Evergreen Ranch.I like this horse because if it's a human he is the MACHO MAN...Isnt it!....The owner also have a flawless horses...ha ha ha haLAst Sunday was our second day training.At this time, I was not bored because we are in the actual training.Like how to walk,stop etc.The horse are very smart. First thing the owner told us is dont look in the eyes of the horse and rub his nose as a sign of friendship.It's amazing!....that the horse can do such things that I couldnt believe it. Hubby and I always watch ROdeo every year.Now I know how the owner give the best training for his horses.At the evergreen ranch the owner told us how he study about horses.Anyway,we are thankful that we have enough volunteer at this time. Next sunday is the last training before the "FALL FESTIVAL".Thanks to the Helmer.

Today is my father's 5th death anniversary.IM here in US now so I burn candles in our yard in memory of my father.I dont think we ever get over the loss of a loved one.I thinks as the year pass by the pain lessens and the grief becomes easier to manage. I had a good long cry today and it helped.I feel a sadness that my husband never met him,yet I know a part of him lives on in me.

Today is "THE WORK DAY" at the church.Hubby wake me up early this morning because the methodist men prepare for the breakfast.For reality hubby dont cook breakfast he just do th pointing! ha ha ha.He went I dont.He was in the church at 5am this morning open the fellowship hall and help the methodist men.I did not go because I have a work day at home.Ha ha ha.It's been two weeks that I did not do my house cleaning.I vacuum last thursday because I could not take it.I work from Monday-Thursday and for this past two weekends hubby and me wnt to flea market.So, I clean all morning while hubby is busy in the church for the upcoming fall festival.It will be soon.I was so tired.I miss the pumpkin carving today at the church and the baby shower this morning.I just remember this evening after church service.

Gas Priced went down

I filled up gas yesterday because they said the gas went up soon.The gas price is 2.55,But this morning the gas priced dropped to 2.38. It's been a while that gas is so high and suddenly the gas dropped to 17 cents since yesterday.Thanks GOd.Hope it keeps dropping.

Millvina Dean was only 2 months old when she was wrapped in a sack and lowered into a lifeboat from the doomed Titanic. Now 96, the last survivor of the tragic sinking is selling mementos of the disaster to help pay her nursing home fees.

Rescued from the bitterly cold Atlantic on that April 1912 night, Dean, her 2-year-old brother and her mother were taken to New York with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Before returning home to England, they were given a small wicker suitcase of donated clothing, a gift from New Yorkers to help them rebuild their lives.

Now, Dean is selling the suitcase and other Titanic mementos to help pay her nursing home fees. They are expected to go for $5,200 at an auction of Titanic memorabilia Saturday in Devizes in western England.Among the items are rare prints of the Titanic and letters from the Titanic Relief Fund offering her mother one pound, seven shillings and sixpence a week in compensation.
But the key item in the sale is the suitcase, said auctioneer Andrew Aldridge. "They would have carried their little world in this suitcase," he said Thursday.Dean has lived at Woodlands Ridge, a private nursing home in the southern city of Southampton — Titanic's home port — since she broke her hip two years ago."I am not able to live in my home anymore," Dean was quoted as telling the Southern Daily Echo newspaper. "I am selling it all now because I have to pay these nursing home fees and am selling anything that I think might fetch some money."
A spokeswoman for Woodlands Ridge said Dean was too tired Thursday to speak to The Associated Press.She said rooms at the nursing home cost between $1,000 and $1,550 a week, depending on the level of care the resident needs, but declined to discuss Dean's situation, saying it was a private matter.Although Britain has a free health care system, private providers offer more comprehensive services for a fee. "It's the people, the human angle," Aldridge said. "You had over 2,200 men, women and children on that ship, from John Jacob Astor, the richest person in the world at the time, to a poor Scandinavian family emigrating to the States to start a new life. It was Pacquiao and Oscar De La Hoya’s first media blitz stop to promote their 12-round non-title December 6th fight to be held at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas.

Promoters Bob Arum of Top Rank and Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer certainly did their best to promote the fight capitalizing on America’s symbolic venues – the Statue of Liberty in New York, Sears Tower in Chicago, the Alamo in San Antonio and the Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Posing in front of the Statue of Liberty and placing the podium with the New York skyline behind them, the title-holder fighters both talked about the how this highly anticipated match up fulfills their American dreams. But there were no fighting words between the two then or during the other five-city stops, the last one was on October 7th in Los Angeles.

“This fight, and the fight that he has,” De La Hoya said in New York, “and the heart that he has is a big threat to me.”“It will be a big match,” Pacquiao said. “The love and the intensity will be doubled and fighting Oscar is a privilege.”

Although Pacquiao and De La Hoya seem to want to hug each other rather than fight, their fans, mostly Pacquiao’s, who showed up at the press conferences were the ones who loudly chanted some jabs. “Kahit na mas maliit sya,” said Warren Villanueva of Queens, New York “mas mabilis si Pacquiao. His speed and punches. He can win it.”The five-foot-6-inch tall Pacquiao who used to weigh 135 pounds, has to gain up to 147 pounds.

De La Hoya who stands at 5 foot 10 inches with titles in six divisions, including the WBO middleweight (160 lb) crown, is reportedly at his comfortable weight. I could not remember the name of the ebayer.I could post in here so some ebayer be aware.I was curious and suspicious that maybe it's a scam.So I log in in my ebay and check my messages inbox but there is no message from ebay about the bill.I open the link,and it's empty and I check the date when did I bid the stuff it's Sept.13, So,my suspicious came true because on that date we dont have electricity because of the HUrricane Ike and what would I do with the motorcyle parts.So, I check my ebay again and click the discussion and I found out there that hackers are in ebay.So I email to ebay about my problem.And they response quickly.

Arteriosclerosis is Hardening of the arteries, medically known as arteriosclerosis, is a disease where blood clots and cholesterol deposits adhere to the inner wall of the arteries, eventually making the arteries lose its normal elasticity and transforming them into hard, or even calcified, pipes, whose caliber is narrowed or even totally blocked as years go by.

The common impression is that hardening of the arteries affect only the old people, those in their 60s and 70s, and up. This not true. Autopsies performed on young children, ages 10 or down to 5 who died of accidents, have shown that their arteries, in the heart and the rest of the body, already had a thin lining or coating of hardening of the arteries. You could imagine how much thicker they are in us adults.

Hardening of the arteries by itself does not cause any problems, so long as their function and capacity to transport blood to the muscles and vital organs is not impaired or reduced. If the caliber or the inner channel of the arteries is severely blocked by hardening of the arteries, and the arteries are unable to bring enough volume of blood (which contains oxygen and nutrients) to the tissues and organs they supply, those tissues and organs (like the brain, heart, kidneys, intestines, arms or legs and feet, etc.) will suffer from lack of oxygen and nutrition, which is medically termed ischemia.

Stroke, blindness, dizziness, heart attack, kidney failure, liver failure, intestinal gangrene, leg gangrene, foot gangrene, where tissues rot because of lack of oxygen and nutrients. There are other tissues and organs that could be similarly affected.

Preventive medicine is the best “cure”! There is no wiser strategy in staying healthy than to adopt a healthy lifestyle. A recipe for a healthy lifestyle includes the following ingredients: staying off drugs, no smoking, eating fish, vegetables, fruits, high fiber cereals, instead of pork, beef, eggs, diary products (skim milk is good); exercising every day by aerobic exercises, brisk walking, swimming, tai chi, ballroom dancing or rock & rolling, learning how to relax, preferably with family, a friend, or friends, with good music and a good laughter, watching your weight. Being at peace with others and, especially with yourself, brings down the adrenalin and harmful chemicals in our system, and increases the endomorphins and other good chemicals in our body, and slows down aging and hardening of the arteries.

EXPLANATION OF GOD: 'One of God's main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace the ones that die,
So there will be enough people to take care of things on earth. He doesn't make grownups, just babies. I think because they are smaller and easier to make. That way he doesn't have to take up his valuable time teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave that to mothers and fathers.'

'God's second most important job is listening to prayers. An awful lot of this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things, pray at times beside bedtime. God doesn't have time to listen to the radio or TV because of this. Because he hears everything, there must be a terrible lot of noise in his ears, unless he has thought of a way to turn it off.'

SAGINAW, Mich. - With a winning bid of just $1.75, a Chicago woman has won an auction for an abandoned home in Saginaw. Joanne Smith, 30, recently was the top bidder for the home during an auction on eBay, The Saginaw News reported. Her bid was one of eight for the home.

"I am going to try and sell it," she told the newspaper. "I don't have any plans to move to Saginaw."Smith said she hasn't seen the property or visited Saginaw, which has been hard-hit by economic troubles in recent years.There's a notice on the door of the home saying a foreclosure hearing is pending, the newspaper said. She must pay about $850 in back taxes and yard cleanup costs.The Saginaw News said it could not reach the seller, Southern Investments LLC, for comment.

I went Pete's house this afternoon and his daughter call from Virginia.She will be here tomorrow and she let us know not to tell her dad, meaning it's a "SURPRISE" for Pete.Isn't that nice! meaning she care for her dad.She's workingbut she will stop by to her dad for a days.Pete has a son lives here in houston an hour from where Pete's live but since I work with them this year I never met this guy.But his daughter Susan I met her twice and she will be here tomorrow.
